“ Their fajita plates are a hit with my employees! I have been ordering from La Tapatia for years to cater our monthly employee luncheons. Today we ordered approximately 150 fajita plates with less than a 24hr notice and as always La Tapatia came through with no issues. Our contact "El Guero" is extremely helpful and never turns us down when we have special requests on our orders. The fajita plate we ordered this time around included beef and chicken fajitas, rice, beans, tortillas and salsa. The meat is tender and full of flavor. The beans and rice are good, similar to what you would find at most Mexican restaurants. The green and red salsas are spicy and needed to give the food that extra kick in flavor. I like that they wrap the lunches in plastic to keep the box in tact and the food warm. Overall this is a great spot if your looking for some good fajitas at a decent price. We have also ordered tamales from La Tapatia during the holidays and they are delicious. I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order here. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed. ”

“ This place was picked for dinner to go by some dear friends. It's a meat market and grocery that also sells tacos, gorditas, tortas etc. for offsite consumption. In addition, meats can be purchased by the pound, and bolillos and other breads are available if you want to make your own tortas. They also have a huge cheese selection, featuring just about any kind of white cheese you can imagine. But my main focus this evening was tacos and a cup of elotes, the delectable Mexican street corn dish that I used to enjoy when working in Mexico City. To order food, proceed to the grocery checkout line and give them your order. Upon choosing elotes, you're given a token to take to the cart where it's prepared. Once there, an employee will begin preparing your corn by taking fresh corn on the cob, cutting the kernels off and mixing it right up in the cup. The finished product, topped with a little Valentina hot sauce, hit all of the right notes, with firm but well cooked corn, creamy cheese and sauce, and a little heat. Moving on to the taco counter, the folks there will verify the meats for the tacos and package them for you, offering onion, cilantro, and lime wedges. I selected the more proper maiz (corn) tortillas; they come doubled, but the tacos held up well with just a single layer. My pastor taco could have used a tad more spice, but as delicious nonetheless. Barbacoa had a good flavor and was extremely tender, blending well with the onion and cilantro. Best of all, my elotes and two tacos were just a bit over $6, making this a very good value for the money. If you're in the area, give this place a try for the take out food, but check out the produce, cheese, bakery goods etc. as they're also very reasonably priced and are of good quality. ”
